Bagels Worth Bragging About...

I've got to hand it to Jeff. After his highly successful lemon roll experiment over New Year's, he faced down the left over cream cheese in our fridge last weekend and came to the only logical conclusion: He would have to make some bagels.


There was some yeasting, some kneading, some boiling, some baking - and some damn delicious bagels. That's my boy!

  1. I have a stupid question. Do they sell bagels in The Haag?

    I visited Gen Mercatante when she was studying in Italy back in '99 - she took me to the only bagel place in all of Florence which was in the Jewish corner of the city. The place was (of course) crammed with Americans.

    I really think there's a fortune to be made selling tacos (and perhaps bagels) in Europe. Similarly, a clever European could make a killing selling those Vlaamses Frites with peanut sauce via food truck.
